1. Using the organisation that you have selected for study in DBN507 Assessment 1 (Individual Assignment), answer the following questions using specified instructions and formats in Part A, below.
2. Based on the research of your selected organisation, answer the questions Part A, below, using a report format, below. Your report should:
Follow the word limits suggested in the given format, below, with a total 1100-1300 words including executive summary, but excluding supplementary sections such as cover page, table of content, reference list. Please state the word count on the cover page of your report.
Demonstrate the evidence of applying concepts/theories learned from a wide range of materials, including a total of at least 6 reputed, academic/ research based, and updated sources (e.g., textbooks, journals, newspapers, company or government’s documents such as reports and official websites)
Be typed (font size 11, Calibri, 1.5 spacing) and label with question numbers, staple/bind, and put your name and I/D on each page in footer.
Be written clearly and concisely using complete sentences.
Be proof-read for grammatical accuracy.

2. Findings and Analysis

2.1 Performance Appraisal (20 marks. Word limit: 400-450 words) Analyse the way the selected organisation engaged and developed individual staff for efficient and effective performance of the entity from Performance appraisal perspective.
Using ONE of the departments in your selected organisation as an example:
(a) Discuss TWO major employee performance problems faced by your organisation in ONE of the departments in the last 12 months.

(b) Suggest the BEST performance appraisal (PA) process and methods that can be used for ONE of the positions in this department to minimise the employee performance problems in the next 12 months. Include in your answer the PA steps, methods, data to be collected, and stakeholders involved.

5 2.2 Development of a Training Programme (20 marks. Word limit: 400-450 words)
Develop a 1-day training programme that will engage and develop individual staff in the position discussed in section 2.1 (b), above, for efficient and effective performance of the organisation. Include in your training programme:
(a) Training title, objective(s), date/time, target trainees and trainer, resources, and logistic arrangement needed for such training programme with justification (5 marks) (Notes: Please refer to the rubric, below, for marking criteria and scale)
(b) Training content (at least TWO customer service skills) and training delivery methods for learning the content with justification (5 marks) (Notes: Please refer to the rubric, below, for marking criteria and scale)
(c) TWO of the training evaluation levels as per Kirkpatrick’s model to assess the effectiveness of this training programme.
